MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Centre for International Economy (CEI) is to act as the economic think tank of the Secretariat of International Economic Relations. This Centre for economic studies was created in 1987 and is formed by a group of professionals in economics and other economics-related disciplines who are highly specialized in international trade and economy.

In 2012, CEI turned into the National Directorate Centre for International Economy (DNCEI), which depends on the Secretariat of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, thus taking the first step towards its full institutionalization.

Against this background, CEI positions itself as a think tank within the Argentine public sector, which is able to provide technical instruments and, therefore, provide support to the Argentine Foreign Ministry in the management of foreign economic policies. The Centre also seeks to create a space for debate to exchange ideas about the possible strategies that would allow our country to achieve a certain degree of integration into the world, meeting its national interests.
